Welcome to Dacusville Middle School
2010-2011 Back To School Information
Sales on school supplies in are signalling the impending start of the 2010-2011 school year. Starting on Friday, August 6 and ending at midnight on Sunday, August 8, students and parents can purchase eligible items such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, and computers without paying sales tax on those items.
While the actual start date is still a few weeks away, here are the suggested supply lists for students attending DMS. We hope that our families are able to take advantage of the good deals that are available as they prepare their students for another great year at DMS.

Try-out Dates for Fall Sports
To participate on athletic teams next school year, students must have a sports physical dated after April 1, 2010 on file with the school. Sports physical forms can be downloaded here or you can get one from the school office.
DMS Volleyball Team try-outs begin on Tuesday, August 10 from 3:30-5:00 pm in the school gym.
DMS boys in 7th and 8th grade can try-out for the Pickens Middle School Football Team. Try-outs will begin on Monday, August 9 from 4:00 - 6:00 at PMS.
DMS girls can try-out for the Pickens High School Girls Golf Team. Try-outs will begin on Monday, August 2 at Rolling Green Country Club in Dacusville at 2:00 pm.
DMS boys and girls can run for the Pickens High School Cross Country Team.

Summer- Morning workouts are Tuesdays and Thursdays -- 8:00-9:45.
Make sure that you are not late. We will be lifting first, and then running as a group.

Make Waves This Summer
Teens are invited to "Make Waves" each week reading for free books and other giveaways at Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. The more books you read, the more prizes you can earn.
The library will be hosting weekly events for teens each Tuesday, as well.
June 15 -- Learn to Shag
June 22 -- Learn about collecting comic books
June 29 -- Learn about skateboarding, decking out your board, and play Tony Hawk on the Wii with New Gen.
